The Madison County Medical Society is working with the Alabama Department of Public Health’s Center for Emergency Preparedness and the Madison County Emergency Management Agency to establish a Medical Reserve Corps. This team will be comprised of active , semi-active, and retired healthcare professionals, as well as non-medical support personnel. This MRC will work within our community to eliminate health disparities, enhance disease prevention, and strengthen the health and emergency preparedness of our community. This unit will not deplete our local resources in the event of a disaster, but will supplement the agencies within our communities should the need arise.
